4 GREAT SEASONS
Trysil has a typical mountain climate that varies with the seasons. In the summer Trysil offer lots of hiking possibilities and mountain biking/lots of cycle paths.
Trysil offers 67 slopes and totally 75 km of skiing, 31 lifts. Easy and demanding ski slopes are located next to each other, so the whole family can take the lift to the top and choose different slopes to ski back down again. You’ll never be short of choice in Trysil.
With four snow parks, Trysil can offer a park for everyone. Green parks for the youngest skiers or beginners, blue park and the park with both red and black line.
Trysil has a lot of weekly acitivities in the skiing area, many of them with the mascot Valle, especially for the kids. In addition you can join the events or other activities such as dog sledging, sleigh rides, bowling, adventure pool and SPA.
Trysil offers app 500 km of cross country tracks. 100 km is in and around Trysilfjellet, in varied terrain.
Situated in the heart of Scandinavia, Trysil is easy to reach by car, bus or plane. The climate also makes sure that it’s normally very good snow conditions. Most of the accommodation has ski in – ski out, and Trysil also have ski bus to move between the areas or going down to the town centre for instance.
Trysil for families
Trysil is well known for it’s family friendliness. There are three children’s areas with lifts and slopes well suited for the youngest ones. A lot of the activities in the weekly program are also for the children, especially the activities with the mascot Valle.
All the warming huts and barbeque huts gives you the opportunity to enjoy own food and beverage or just to take a short break during your ski day.
The ski area has both demanding and easy slopes side by side which makes it easier for a family to ski together.
The ski school in Trysil is Norway’s largest and they offer courses for every skier from the beginner, young or grown up, to the more advanced skiers who would like to fine tune their technique. The instructors communicate in multiple languages.
Lots of restaurants (around 30 in the ski area!) offers a wide selection of food during your stay. Try one of the specialties with local foods.
THINGS TO DO
Trysil offers many activities for the entire family. Especially the week program provides lots of activities in the ski area, and many of them together with the mascot, Valle. Most of the activities in the week program is free.
There are also other activities such as dog sledging, sleigh rides, pools, SPA, bowling and more.
With more than 30 eateries/pubs in the ski area, Trysil also offers a good variety for apres ski and exciting restaurant visits where you also can enjoy local foods.
The town centre has a lot of different stores and some eateries too. The ski bus takes you down to the village, so you can leave your car at the cabin.
